Artist Profile
Kurt April Artist Profile
A Cape Town DJ and producer with a house-led sound spanning Tech House, Melodic Tech House and Afro House, and a stage history across South African festivals, clubs and brand events.
Biography
Cape Town DJ, producer and musician.
Kurt April is a DJ, producer and musician from Cape Town. He has signed music with Warner Music, reached radio audiences on stations including 5FM and KFM, and performed on festival stages across South Africa and the wider region.
His sound is house-led: Tech House gives his sets their percussive drive, while Melodic Tech House and Afro House bring melody and rhythm-led movement. He reads the room and adapts the energy of a set to the environment, from a festival main stage to a club floor or a brand experience, while keeping that house-led identity.
His releases include Graceful (2019), collaborations with Whitney April on Lost Together and Forever, Reason with Ferester, Your Love and Light My Fire with Anica Kiana, and HOLDING ON with Tyler Page. Listen to the releases and live sets, see how bookings work, or send a booking enquiry.
